A new model for a wound care center began with Dr. Bruce Ruben’s dream of building a disability friendly, barrier-free office, where all things “wound care” could be contained and hospital-level wound treatments could be delivered under one, outpatient roof. The result is Encompass HealthCare and Wound Medicine, located in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
Dr. Bruce Ruben is the Founder and Medical Director of Encompass HealthCare and Wound Medicine, a barrier-free wound care center which features advanced wound care, IV antibiotic therapies, hyperbaric oxygen treatment, nutritional assessment, venous ablation, application of skin grafts and flaps and other treatment modalities all in an outpatient office. This means you never have to step foot into a hospital in order to get hospital-level wound care.
Dr. Ruben is board certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, and in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is also a member of the Medical and Scientific Advisory Committee and National Spinal Cord Injury Association (NSCIA) board, an advisory board member of WoundSource, and serves on the board of The Emily Stillman Foundation.
