Doctor referrals are welcome here at Encompass HealthCare & Wound Medicine. Dr. Bruce Ruben often works with other physicians who have patients with infectious diseases, stubborn, non-healing wounds, or overlapping medical problems with which they need help. Infectious disease patients require doctor referrals in order to be seen, but wound care patients do not.

Doctor Referrals Are Important To Us
If you are a doctor and need a consult on a patient, simply call our office (or fill out our online form if it is after hours) and we will make every effort to see your patient within the shortest possible time period. Oftentimes our referring doctors send their patients right over to us the same day and we do our best to fit them into our schedule.
In addition, Dr. Ruben also works with other physicians via Facetime, Skype, email or by whatever means are necessary in order to get the job done. With today’s technology, nothing is impossible! He also consults with nurse case managers, insurance adjusters, family members, and anyone else leading a patient’s care.
Dr. Ruben participates in an old fashioned style of practice whereby he will stop whatever he is doing to speak to a physician. Following his consultation, he will provide immediate and direct feedback about your patient either by phone, email or text. Dr. Ruben believes strongly in making himself available so your patient can receive the unique, individualized and urgent care for which you are searching; safely and expeditiously, outside of a hospital.
We are simply an adjunct to primary care physicians and other doctors with experienced expertise in the area of wound management, infection, venous ablation, nutrition and in many other areas that allow us to heal patients’ wounds and infections where other measures have previously failed.
